We operate using Fair Trade principles:-
"A partnership between producers, mainly in the developing world, and customers which ensures that producers receive good working conditions and fair prices for their goods".
We provide a wide selection of Fair Trade products for retail sale from a High Street location as well as catering and other products wholesale to local businesses throughout Fife and beyond. We also actively promote Fair Tade through organised talks and the promotion of Fairtrade Town Status.
Fair Shares is involved in a number of campaigns and initiatives:-
Burntisland became the 1st Fairtrade Town in Fife on the 29th April 2004.  We are currently involved in promoting Fife as the 1st Fairtrade Kingdom. We are also involved in various school initiatives explaining Fair Trade and promoting citizenship to younger people. A number of schools locally are now working with us promoting Fair Trade by providing their pupils with a Fair Trade Tuck Shop.
